Another Day, Another Scammer: Kangen333

Hey guys, been a little busy in the past few weeks. However, I have recently stumbled across another scumbag. This individual, Kangen333, frequents the Freelancer website. First, I should say that you should never do business on this website. It is absolutely horrendous, a scam and will do nothing to protect the writer. Anyway, Kangen333 doesn’t pay his writers. According to his status, he maintains a 4.7 out of 5 rating, but this doesn’t justify the horrific treatment of his writer. The guy believes he can drink Kangen water, rip off writers and make a bundle. Unfortunately, he probably does.

Kangen333 The Scammer

This stops today! Kangen’s real name is Shawn James Butterworth and he isn’t worth anything! If you work for this individual right now, you should stop immediately! He might pay you for a short period of time, but the payments will eventually cease. Judging from the pictures, Butterworth uses butter to brush his teeth and wash his hair.

Old Shawny boy has a wide variety of different websites and social media accounts. These will be listed below for your convenience.

Just do a quick google search for his username. You will discover the rest instantly. Much like his precious Kangen water, Kangen333 is also a major scam. According to his current LinkedIn status, Butterworth is currently employed with Skyes or Alpine Access. The company is responsible for handling customer’s data and personal credentials. Boy oh boy! That one is likely going to result in a disaster, aye?

Kangen has just recently been added to the glorious RipOffReport. The report can be found here. Well, if you know this guy, it is time to go in the opposite direction! If you don’t, you will regret it in the future!

Looking for Scammers

I am currently looking for individual who have been scammed. If you’re been scammed on a website such as freelancer, warrior forum, digital point, odesk or elance, drop me a comment. I’d like to share your stories with the world and this blog will give you the platform to do just that. We will continue adding content from time to time so always check out. Our team or writers and investigators are searching out scammers and exposing them one by one. Be sure to check back often.

Kim Lee – $352 scammer

Our next scammer is Kim Lee. You can find out more about her scamming by visiting: http://9oood.com/general/met-a-scammer/. If  you’d like to contact Mrs. Lee, you can do so by sending her an email to kimleeteam@gmail.com.

This oDesk scammer has been working hard to steal your money for the last few months. A naive writer decided to offer his services to Lee. While things started out smoothly, things quickly turned. Lee will entice you through oDesk, get you to contact her through email and then start the scamming. She’ll sent you emails containing work but you’ll never receive a payment. It is simple. A new email, a new oDesk account and a few new naive writers just waiting to get scammed. It is very likely that Kim Lee is now using a new alias and scamming other poor unsuspecting victims.

Remember to never negotiate outside of oDesk and always request payment upfront or at least half. You must protect yourself because oDesk, eLance and Freelance will not. In the end, they’re scamming you as well.

Now that we have gotten to know one another, lets get down to business and explain why these individuals have ended up here. Don’t take my word for it. Check out http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/binder-full-of-articles/lawtey-florida-32058/binder-full-of-articles-melanie-fitzpatrick-content-writers-revenue-melanie-fitzpatrick-1088231#comment_3. Be sure to check out the comments on the Rip Off Report. You’ll see that several individuals have already fallen victim to Melanie and Steve.

This isn’t the only time Melanie and Steve have scammed a poor writer out of money. If you’re currently writing for this individual, you’re likely going to get ripped off.  The group currently has several active projects on Freelancer. The duo will constantly give you articles to write and excuses why they cannot pay. Do not fall into this trap and stop, before you get in too deep. Writers should avoid these individuals at all costs.

If you’re currently purchasing articles from the duo through warrior forum: http://www.warriorforum.com/warriors-hire/886324-discount-prices-high-quality-content-all-american-web-content-available-now.html then you’re also being ripped off. Your content is most likely stolen from some hardworking writer who will never get paid. You will likely end up facing DMCA complaints for using the content. I highly recommend avoiding these individuals. While their content might be cheap, it is also stolen.

Our Purpose

Are you a freelance writer who utilizes the the websites such as Freelancer, oDesk or eLance? If so, you’re likely well aware of the number of scammers running rampant on these types of sites. While they use forums such as WarriorForum and DigitalPoint to sign up high paying clients, they seek to outsource their work to freelancer websites for next to nothing.

Many of these individuals pay as little as a dollar for five hundred words, while many refuse to pay at all. No one and I mean no one should be ripped off by these individuals and so called companies. As a client, you shouldn’t be fooled into paying seven dollars an article for a two dollar product. And as a writer, you may never get paid at all. And this is a sad shame.

With this blog, the weak will fight back and become the hunter. We refuse to take it anymore and transformed into the meanest monster you’ve ever seen. Over the course of the next several months, you’ll find profiles for individuals and companies, who are scamming on Freelancer and other similar websites. Do not get caught in there web of deceit. With this blog, we hope to cut down on freelancer scammers and give them a taste of their own medicine.

Do you have a story to tell? Have you fallen victim to one of these individuals or companies? Now, you finally have a place to tell your story. With your cooperation, they’ll never scammer another individual again.
